Incoming call¶
Making a call is explained in detail in Contacts, also the in-call possibilities. Below you find some screenshots as a reminder on how to pick a contact from the contacts list and on how to video call that contact.
However, answering a call depends on the state of the phone. And the state determinates the procedure to handle the incoming call.
BiDiApp active in foreground¶
The BiDiApp is open. When a contact calls you on the BiDiapp, the BiDIApp shows the incoming call immediately. The user, you, can accept or decline the call.
As a privacy reminder, only medical staff of your provider and confirmed BiDiApp users in your contact list can call. Nobody else can contact you.
Locked/Unlocked mobile device¶
First of all, the user can receive calls even if the BiDIApp in not open, or the phone is locked. In both cases, a message pop's up on the screen. The message indicates an incoming call and the name of the caller.
To accept the message, on the message, swipe to the right on the notification message. This opens the app and allows to answer the call. If the phone is locked, you need also to unlock the the phone with your passcode.
Once you phone is active, one of two things can happen:
- The BiDiApp is pushed to the foreground if the app was already running
- Or the BiDiApp will start when the call was accpted. In the end, the user can answer the phone.
Warning
It can take up to 10 seconds before the call can be answered if the BiDiApp is not running.
